My Journal

Today I thought I would share a few little glimpses into my new journal. Matt kindly bought this journal by Ask Alice Stationary for my birthday last year, but I have only really started using it in the last week or two. I often come up with good ideas for things to make or find inspiring pictures but usually forget and lose them, so it is really good to now have somewhere to keep all of my inspiration and ideas. I hope to fill up this journal quite regularly and one day I would like to have a collection of journals just like this one full of inspiration and pretty things! xx

Op-shop Finds

Today I went op-shopping for the first time in ages and managed to pick up some really nice finds! It feels like I've been wearing the same outfit all summer so I was glad to finally buy some 'new' things to wear. Unfortunately, I didn't stumble across any vintage clothing this time around (which is actually pretty odd as I usually do) but instead I found a lot of brand new clothes which is pretty nice, especially because I paid about a quarter of what was on the original price tags! 

I decided to create a list of things that I wanted/needed and thought that if I didn't find them in the op-shops then I would just have to go look for them in the real shops. Luckily for me I was able to find three of the items on my list... a deep red cardigan, a pair of tan oxford styled shoes and a pretty collared top with a black tie! I had planned to buy a nice white blouse and do a D.I.Y version of the black tied top, which I still might do as it would be nice to have a long-sleeved version for winter. 

Still, an op-shopping trip isn't complete for me unless I find something a little bit vintage so luckily in the last shop I went to I found a pretty floral table cloth, that when unfolded looks just like a vintage handkerchief... Lovely! xx

I have just about finished my current crochet project and even though I am not quite finished, I'm already excited to start deciding on what colours my next blanket should be! I have decided to keep it simple by choosing only three colours, mint green, autumn red and cream. I may also use grey but I'm still not entirely sure. These pictures are giving me a good idea of how these colours look together and so far I'm loving the combination! I'm very excited to start making a simple granny square blanket with these lovely colours soon! xx 

January Snaps

I have been very quiet on Instagram lately, barely managing one photo a week! However, I have a lot planned for February so I am hoping that this will begin to change. Here are just a few snaps of what I have been up to in the month of January...

1. Practised a dress pattern that I created on some amazing vintage fabric. 

2. Got to start using my 2013 Frankie diary.

3. Went for some walks and started to appreciate the beauty around me more.

4. Received a bunch of roses from the lovely Matthew.

5. Became inspired and filled a few pages of my pretty fox journal.
