Wish List: Pretty Tote Bags

How lovely are these tote bags by fieldguided! I'm loving tote bags at the moment as they are so easy to carry around and are very practical... therefore great for uni! I think these ones are so nice though... simple but effective! The quotes that are featured on the totes are hand printed and are quite unique and interesting... The photography is pretty too!

Cups of Tea

All of a sudden it has become very cold here in Tasmania... but I don't mind at all because I love winter and I can just drink lots of tea to keep me warm! I love tea... especially tea that has been brewed in a tea pot! Today I thought I'd share some of my favorite teas that I have tired as well as some teas that I want to try in the future.

My everyday favourite tea is Twinings English Breakfast and Earl Grey... But my all time favourite blends include creme brulee and choc chip chai by T2 tea. Soo yummy! A while ago I came across a gourmet tea label called Harney & Sons. The different flavours of these teas sound so divine and the tins that the tea comes in are adorable! I would love to collect every flavour!

Have you tried Harney & Sons tea? Is it as good as it looks? I think it would be worth having a try of this tea because if by some chance the tea wasn't all that nice, at least I'd have a collection of pretty tins to keep! ;)

A day well spent...

So tomorrow I have another market on and this morning I worked on some new pretty floral accessories for the stall. They turned out perfect! And I even decided to keep a pair of the small, dark pink earrings for myself ;) Today I also went on a road trip to Deloraine with some friends and we had such a great time! We taste tested the local produce, visited the op-shops, had some delicious lunch and discovered new and exciting vintage shops! I managed to find a very cute, handmade dress and some pretty vintage fabric. A day well spent I think!

Weekend Delights

Finally the weekend is here after a long and busy week! This weekend I plan to catch up with my best friend, do a bit of shopping, work on some exciting new products (I have another market in exactly one week!), and have some quality down time with my Matt. I'm definitely going to take it very easy as I know next week will be just as busy as this week was. I hope you all have a lovely weekend too!

Vintage Dresses

Vintage dresses are so pretty and unique! I just love the style of vintage so much more then the modern clothes that are out there... it is just so much more classic! It's pretty rare to find pretty vintage dresses from the op-shop, but if you are looking for a vintage dress for a special occasion or something, etsy is full of them! Here are a couple of vintage dresses that I am loving at the moment...

Matt's Work

My lovely boyfriend Matthew is one very talented guy! He is a 3D visualization artist and has just finished working on this animation for his business. (Yes... the images in the animation are created by him, not photos!) I'm very proud of Matt's work and of this awesome video, so I wanted to share it here :) I hope you like it... and if you or anyone you know is in need of any 3D visualization work please feel free to contact him!

Lovely Earrings

A couple of days ago a friend of mine asked if I could make her some earrings. It just so happened I had bought some supplies earlier this month and had the exact kind of pieces she was after and so I was able to make them for her. I thought I would share the earrings that I made... as they are really quite cute!

I also wanted to show how I packaged the earrings. I am a bit of a fan of lovely packaging and so have been experimenting with different packaging techniques ;) This is what I came up with today. All I used was a brown paper bag, my lovely stamps, some pretty vintage fabric and a bit of matching mustard string. I have also started a packaging pin board  on pinterest if you are after some packaging inspiration! :)

Peter Pan Collars

There is something so lovely about peter pan collars. This week I want to attempt to make something similar to this peter pan collar tutorial. I have a cute handmade top I found while op-shopping a while ago but it seems to be missing something... I think that a peter pan collar might just do the trick! Now to I need to find some pretty lace!

Autumn

Today in Launceston it is an incredibly beautiful autumn day. It is so peaceful and mild today with hardly any clouds in the sky! I love how the warmth of the sun enhances the beautiful golden leaves... It reminds me of just how much I adore Autumn!

Autumn is by far my favourite season! I just love the gorgeous colours, the faint smell of wood smoke, the peacefulness and the fact that I can wear layers again! ;) I spent the morning of this beautiful day at the Harvest Market, a fairly new farmers market in town! It is a great little market on every Saturday from 9 - 1.

Recent Thrift Finds

This week I have had a very successful op-shopping week! Usually I go op-shopping to find pretty vintage fabric and even though I did not find many fabrics this week, I instead found some nice clothing! My first find was this lovely dress...

I bought this dress for $2 from the salvos and later discovered that its original price was $129.95!

I found these two pretty skirts in an op-shop in Deloraine. I am always on the lookout for vintage skirts and so I just had to take these two home with me! These were also only $2 each.

Lastly, I found this simple, classic black skirt. I was probably happiest with this find as I have been looking online for one exactly like it for a while now and could never find one! This skirt was $2.50 and is definitely going to get a lot of wear this winter!

Vintage Finds: Pretty Handkerchiefs

A few weeks ago one of my closest friends found a bundle of beautiful vintage handkerchiefs and thought that I'd might like them! She was right... I did love them, and ever since I've been collecting lovely hankies like crazy! There is something so delicate and special about vintage hankies... Each one I have found has so much detail! Once I have collected a few more I hope to make a pretty quilt out of them. :)

Wish List: The Horse

The Horse is an amazing, Australian shoe label that consists of genuine leather shoes for both ladies and gents! Being designer, genuine leather shoes they are well out of my price range... but one day I'd love to own a pair of these shoes! Here are a few of my favourite pairs... aren't they pretty!
